Of the 4 tabs at the lower right under the blue bar, one is a blue i. Select a photo and click on the i to open a right hand column. There you will find all the meta data your camera writes about each photo. An important one to look at is the camera date, 6th down from the top. It is important for this to be correct, because at some time you may want to sort on that info.
If the date in your camera was incorrect at the time the photo was taken, this info will not be correct. That can be fixed. Click on Tools in the top menu and one of the choices is Adjust Date and Time. I think it can be batched. If you have assigned any photo (not people) tags, they will also be on the list
